The second round of the Sanderson Cup was played today at Blackwood GC. Our Southern team with opponents Blackwood teed off at 8.45am in very bad conditions. With rain and fog the women applied themselves to the tough task.
Play was eventually called off as the course became unplayable. We were very happy to have our first win…player no. 4 Sian Ruis defeated Sally Graham 5/3. Our player no. 5 Annie Hunter lost 4/3.
The last 3 matches had to be abandoned but our players were going ok at that point.
Hopefully next week at The Grange we will have conditions favourable to golf. Our tee time will be 12.25pm and our opponents are Glenelg.
